The workshop taking shape
These photos show the Cove from several angles: fresh plywood outer walls, the open doorway, and the shed set among the trees. The roof is on now. We’ve found flashing to cap the peak, a steel door to trim down, and plywood to close the open end and keep the rain out as we finish the workshop.

Getting Franky ready to move in
Franky will have a snug 3-by-5-foot workspace with no wasted room. The roof is on; the remaining weatherproofing is to cap the peak, trim down the steel exterior door, and close the end with plywood. The table saw and chop saw are ready, and the drill press and router table will be made from parts already on hand. The next target is to close in the Cove and cut Franky’s parts and new Z-axis by Tuesday, then bring him together. Old drawer sides and backs are being saved for the dory ribs when we’re ready to start the boats.

Welcome Home
Welcome to Puffin Cove.
A small working harbor on the edge of the Atlantic, where the light is on, the dock is always close by, and there’s always something happening around the cove.
Puffin Cove is being built one board at a time — with stories, keepsakes, quiet moments, and the crew who call the cove home.
You may notice a few loose boards while we finish building the harbor, but you’re welcome here just the same.
Come in, look around, and stay awhile.
Around the Cove
Life moves gently around Puffin Cove.
Some weeks bring stories from the harbor.
Some bring photographs from the coast.
Some bring keepsakes from the dock, the beach path, or the lighthouse point.
This is a place where the small moments matter.
Meet the Crew
Every cove has its people. Puffin Cove has its crew.
From the keeper of the light to the dock runner heard before he’s seen, each one keeps a small part of the harbor running.
This Week at Puffin Cove
The cove is always changing with the weather, the work, and the stories that find their way here.
This is where we share what’s been happening around Puffin Cove, one week at a time.
Raven’s Finds
Not everything stays inside the harbor.
Sometimes Raven travels beyond the cove and brings back photographs, views, and discoveries from along the coast.
Keepsakes from the Cove
A few things from Puffin Cove are made to be kept.
Not just objects, but small pieces of the harbor with stories behind them.
Help Keep the Light On
If Puffin Cove feels like home to you, you can help keep the light on.
Supporters help the harbor grow and receive access to the Puffin Cove archives, along with a small keepsake from the dock.
The harbor is open.
The light is on.
Welcome home.
